Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend for juiciness
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and halved
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese cut in half for sliders
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce for brushing and topping
  • 12 pieces slider buns lightly toasted
  • 2 tablespoons butter for toasting the buns

Equipment

  • Large skillet For cooking the patties
  • Mixing Bowl To season and mix the beef
  • Baking Sheet For assembling and warming the sliders
  • Tongs For flipping the bacon and patties

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently and form into 12 small patties.
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the patties for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing slightly for a golden crust.
  4. Brush BBQ sauce over each patty while still in the pan, allowing it to caramelize slightly.
  5. Place a slice of cheddar cheese over each patty, cover, and let melt for 1 minute.
  6. Toast the slider buns with butter in a pan until golden brown.
  7. Assemble sliders by placing each patty on a bun, adding a piece of bacon, and topping with extra BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

  • Use brioche slider buns for an extra buttery flavor.
  • For extra smokiness, use smoked cheddar cheese instead of regular.
  • Serve with pickles or crispy onion strings for added crunch.
