Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb sirloin steak cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning adjust for spice preference
  • 1 tablespoon butter for finishing
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika optional, for extra smokiness
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme chopped

Method
 

  1. Pat steak cubes dry with a paper towel and toss with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the steak bites in a single layer and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until a crust forms.
  4. Lower the heat, add butter, garlic, and fresh thyme, tossing the steak bites to coat.
  5. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra char, use a cast-iron skillet and ensure it’s very hot before adding the steak.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in a skillet.
  • Pair with a creamy dipping sauce like garlic aioli or ranch for extra flavor.
