Ingredients

  • 4 pork ribs boneless or bone-in
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for frying

Equipment

  • Skillet For frying the pork ribs
  • Mixing Bowls For breading the pork ribs
  • Tongs For flipping the pork ribs
  • Saucepan For preparing the sesame ginger glaze

Method

  1. Season the pork ribs with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of flour and cornstarch.
  3. Dip each pork rib in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the flour-cornstarch mixture, pressing to coat well.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the pork ribs for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  5. In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  6. Add honey and soy sauce to the saucepan and stir. Let it simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Coat the pork ribs in the honey garlic sauce or drizzle it over them before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use panko breadcrumbs instead of flour.
  • Adjust the honey to soy sauce ratio based on sweetness preference.
  • Serve with steamed rice or roasted vegetables for a balanced meal.
